After the polls close, the counting begins.

Will the three members of each county Board of Elections count every vote? Will they feel more accountable to voters, or to State Auditor Dave Boliek's agenda?

Each county board now has a 3-2 partisan majority, meaning just three votes can decide whose ballot counts. Under recent State Board of Elections decisions, that three-vote majority can reject voter ID ballots, sustain challenges to absentee ballots over minor envelope issues, and rely on flawed databases that flag eligible voters. The counting — and the certification — is where the freedom to vote is won or lost.

Join us for a candlelight vigil as the polls close, as we prepare to defend the freedom to vote in the days ahead.
